My Melbourne feature film

We are casting an upcoming Feature Film that will be showcasing and nurturing the next generation of underrepresented diverse filmmakers and their unique stories. These emerging creatives will be mentored by some of the most admired Indian Filmmakers in the world.

Comprised of four interconnecting vignettes, each film is based on one of the key foundations of diversity:
Sexuality, Gender, Disability and Race.

This film is a wonderful opportunity to showcase Australia to the world through the perspective of young culturally diverse filmmakers.

Film – setara

Setara follows a journey of belonging for a 15-year-old girl as she attempts to rebuild her life in Melbourne after fleeing Taliban rule in Afghanistan with her mother and older sister. The three women do their best to move forward with their lives but they are rooted in their past and harbour painful loss, further complicated by growing tensions within the family.

Tracing Setara’s early days in a local high school, the film explores the connecting and rejuvenating power of sport and its capacity to bridge barriers.
