It has been confirmed that after 28 years hosting “At the Movies”, Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton will be retiring from Australian television screens. The longevity and success of their careers on this show had us thinking here at Chameleon about the wonderful years we ourselves have spent in the industry. Our Casting Directors have a wealth of knowledge and a great many years of experience between them. Chameleon’s owner and director Daniella Friedman has extensively worked not only in the Australian market, but also with big names like Nickelodeon, NBC, and the Comedy Channel in Los Angeles. Lisa Fineberg has been involved in the performance and comedy scenes in Melbourne for many years. And Rosie Traynor adds to this a career spanning 30 years with experience performing, casting, production co-ordinating and teaching just to name a few. So as television programs like “At the Movies” sadly come to and end, there will always be new beginnings in Australian Television and Cinema.
